For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...
Mark 10:45
Everyone needs a little help. When you are serving, you are helping others. When you let us know where you want to serve, you are helping us, help you, to help others. When you serve you are helping others grow in their faith by feeling God’s love and kindness coming through you. The best part when you serve you are helping yourself grow to be more like Jesus.
#ReachPiatt
If you've been here for a bit, you may have noticed us use the term #reachpiatt. This is a reminder to help and serve our community directly, and not just our own church.
We reach Piatt through food assistance, backpacks, haircuts, and other special projects to help meet the needs of those nearest to us.

Volunteer FAQ
How do I volunteer?
You can use the link above to fill out a form or you can contact someone on staff to get connected to a ministry that you would fit best in. These ministries include students (jr/sr high), kids (newborn - elementary), worship & tech teams, welcome team, hospitality team, facilities, and food assistance.
Can I serve in more than one ministry?
Of course you can! We have several leaders in serving who serve in more than one area. They understand that the church is working together to help connect people to Christ, His community, and His cause. We use online software to help not overwork our volunteers and work with their schedules to help them serve as well as rest when they need to.
What if I'm not good at talking to people?
That's fine! We have several areas where we let actions speak louder than words! You can work in the tech booth, play an instrument, serve coffee, work on facilities and landscaping, or help you to become more comfortable around others. We have a few introverted staff members, so we understand!
I don't have any talents, how can I help?
We don't think that's true. God has given you talents, and we are more than happy to help you discover and develop your gifts and passions. We can also provide you with training to help in any ministry. Whether it's learning an instrument, becoming more knowledgeable in the Bible, how to maintain the building, or loving people where they are, we will gladly equip you to be the best you can be.
Serve Here
Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.
God has given everyone specific talents, passions, and abilities. Every single person has a gift. You can use your God-given gifts to help others. Volunteers are essential to the function of MCC. Without help, we would not be able to fulfill our mission of being a high impact church where changed lives bring hope to our neighbors and nations. To be the hands and feet of the body of Christ, we are called to serve.
